For as long as I can remember, I have immersed myself in film, TV, actors and behind the scenes trivia. While in graduate school, I studied rhetoric, and I took an interest in narrative rhetoric, writing my thesis on the hero's journeys of Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow. In this, I explored a part of narrative theory called narrative fidelity, which is the idea that we are drawn to stories and characters because we see ourselves--our experiences and struggles--reflected back at us. Narrative fidelity inspired this blog's name "Hero Fidelity Files."
